Just a reminder that the Men’s Survivor Fellowship is tonight at 6pm in the FLC.  There will be a fish fry, fellowship and survivor challenge.  All men (and young men) are encouraged to be there. 

Anyone who wants to come to the Hogg’s house tonight to watch the Tech vs. Nevada game is more than welcome.  Just call or email us to let us know.  Kick off is at 8pm…..hope to see you then.

Just a reminder that this Sunday, 10/4 is Sunday School Roundup.  We are doing this in order to make contact and encourage Sunday School members who haven’t been in a while, prospects and visitors.  It’s similar to the Sunday School emphasis back in February in that we will get points for everyone who is there at 9am, bringing a guest, contacting absentees, contacting visitors/prospects and wearing western attire!!  You can refer to your newsletter for more specifics.  I handed out copies of our class role and contact information last Sunday.  Please make an effort to contact those who’ve been absent - you can call, send a card, email…whatever.  Now onto to visitors and prospects - we had 6 visitors in Sunday School last week.  I dont’ know about y’all but I was so encouraged to see new faces!!  I have the visitors contact information if you’d like to call them.  Please call or send me an email and I’ll be sure to get the information to you.

I know this may seem early to some but it will be here before you know it!!!  It’s time to think about what we want to do for a Christmas Party this year.  Last year we had it at the FLC with the college group and it was catered - I don’t know about y’all, but I thought it was a great time.  Do y’all want to do that again or something different?  Please let me know so we can get things planned.

Just a reminder that we will be sorting this Saturday 4p-7p, Sunday 4p-6p and Mon, Tues, Th and Fri 5p-until and on Wed 4p-6p.  Please make an effort to come by and help sort and set up for the Giveaway to be held on Oct 3rd.  If you have unused items at your house, please bring them to the church - we are in need of more dontations.  We are also in need of volunteers to help “work” the day of the Giveaway.  We will have a nursery for the children - please look for the sign-up sheet in Sunday School.

We will be tailgating this Saturday for Tech’s first home game!! We will meet in our usual place (north side of the TAC in the trees) and 3pm. Please call Bobbi Conner at 255-2142 if you plan on tailgating so you can sign up for food, drinks, etc… Even if you don’t plan to attend the game, please join us for great food and fellowship. We’re hoping for a great turnout!!!

We have canceled the sorting time for this evening due to us having to relocate to watch the Tech game.  The next sorting night is scheduled for 9/13 from 4p-6p.  Please look for more details via email as well as in SS.

We will be watching the Tech vs. Auburn game at the Hogg’s house.  If you would like to come, please call or email, 251-9515 or thehoggs99@yahoo.com  so we can get a headcount.  We are asking each person/couple to pay $2 to offset the cost of the game.  The grill will be ready at 5pm so bring your own meat.  

 Jason wants me to put this disclaimer in the email….we will be watching the game via satellite.  There is a chance of rain for Saturday - our service has been great so far but we have temporarily lost signal just before the heavy rain comes!!  In the past, it’s been out for 5 minutes or less.

We have reserved the FLC for a Game Night on Saturday, 9/12 from 5pm-8pm.  We will have a sign up sheet in Sunday School this week.  Any suggestions on food??  If so, call or email Melissa.

Hope everyone is having a good day…it’s hard not to with the gorgeous weather we’ve had!!  We need to begin sorting through the items that have been donated thus far for The Giveaway.  We have the FLC reserved for the following dates and would like to have as many people as possible there to begin the process of sorting.
